Diagnoster is a self-assessment app aimed at healthcare staff involved in analysing radiological images in their day-to-day practice. Packed full of high-quality x-rays of both normal and abnormal appearances, it provides an excellent training resource for:

Radiographers
Orthopedic and emergency medicine nurses
Orthopedic and emergency medicine doctors
Radiology specialists
Physiotherapists

Diagnoster is composed of a series of short ‘packets’ of images, with each packet containing x-rays around the three main topics of ‘Upper Limbs’, ‘Lower Limbs’ and ‘Chest/Abdomen’. The Shuffle button randomly generates a packet based on a selection of images from all parts of the body.

Each packet offers the opportunity to test your knowledge of x-ray anatomy and pathology, and to identify whether an image has normal appearances or abnormal appearances. Each test is set with a 5-minute countdown timer, allowing you enough time to peruse each image and use the image manipulation controls (zoom, brightness, contrast, inverse) to further analyse each one.

Upon completion of each packet, a results screen displays a percentage score along with specific feedback on each image. The history screen collects data on your most recent attempts in all four topics, enabling you to identify weak points for further study.
